Get Well Urgent Care Allies

Get Well Urgent Care or GWUC offers full-service, walk-in urgent care along with minor surgical procedures and telemedicine. Our mission is to bring unparalleled convenience and 21st-century technology to the Metro Atlanta urgent care market. We will accomplish this by offering telemedicine visits with medication delivery to patient’s homes. Patients who need to drive to our clinic should have a really good reason for doing so. Some examples of “really good reasons” include abscess incisions, sebaceous cysts excisions, joint injections and IV fluid hydration. This is why our tag line is “minor surgical procedures | telemedicine.”

We believe in transparency and honesty. In the 1940’s and 1950’s, it was common practice for people to remain at one job for their entire lives. But in the 21st century people are more versatile than ever before. We don’t expect our employees to remain at GWUC for the rest of their lives. We see our employees as allies were both parties benefit from each other for discrete periods of time. These discrete periods of time are called “Tours of Duty.” For most of our employees, we expect a typical tour of duty to be about three years.

Tours of Duty

A Tour of Duty is not a probation period where we’re “checking you out” with a raised eyebrow. A Tour of Duty is a time for GWUC to enhance your clinical skill set while you help GWUC accomplish our mission. At the end of three years, both you and GWUC can re-evaluate to see if another tour of duty makes sense. This is why our CEO-Medical Director requires each employee without a Masters-level degree to have an ACTIVE, continuing education or self-improvement plan. This is non-negotiable. If you do not have an active continuing education or self-improvement plan and would prefer to remain at your current level of abilities, then you will not be comfortable at Get Well Urgent Care. Please apply elsewhere.

Our Hiring Process

Step 1: Application Pickup

Get Well Urgent Care offers several opportunities to help you build a fulfilling career. Our hiring process begins with you filling out a GWUC Application for Employment. Although it would be very easy for us to attach the application on our website for downloading, we prefer that you stop by our clinic at

6842 Douglas Blvd, Suite K
Douglasville, GA 30135

And pick up a paper copy. Our career opportunities are updated as we add more clinic locations. Just ask our front desk receptionists for a current list of available positions.

Step 2: Resume / Curriculum Vitae Review & Candidate Screening

After you return your completed application to our receptionists, at least two GWUC executives will review your application within three business days. Our executives will determine whether or not your background and experience would make you a good ally for Get Well Urgent Care. We will either call or e-mail you to discuss your application and a potential face-to-face interview. If you’re not selected, you will receive an email indicating such.

Step 3: Face-to-Face Interview

If you are selected for an interview, you will be instructed on where to go or what to do. Make sure you dress in business casual attire and that you bring copies of your degrees, medical training certifications, your driver’s license and your social security card. Your interview can last from 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the interactive flow between you and the interviewer. If you are a physician, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you must be Board Certified before you interview with our medical director.

Step 4: Offer of Employment & Hire

After careful review and consideration of all applicants, a hiring decision will be made. If you are selected, a GWUC executive will contact you and present you with a written offer of employment. Your offer letter will include details such as salary, full- or part-time status, work location, benefits and chain of command.

After you sign and return your offer letter, you will be given instructions on where to go to complete your health screening. Your job offer is based upon your successful completion of GWUC’s verification process, which includes a background check, professional reference check and pre-employment health screening (including a drug and TB skin test), as well as proof of your eligibility to work in the United States. Upon successful completion of the verification process, you will be hired as a GWUC employee to begin your first tour of duty with us. If you are not selected for the position, you will receive an email stating such.
